Desired Skills and Experience
- Do library preparation for NGS including amplicon, WGS, RNAseq
- Do Sequencing instrument operation (Illumina)
- Have the ability to apply a range of analytical methods to characterize samples, including PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, and other plate assays
- Manage experimental schedules and processes
- Collect, quantify, and analyze experimental results
- Write and communicate experimental results
- Think critically and work independently
- Have strong organizational skills
- Be a quick learner
- Sequence data analysis experience: 16s, WGS, RNAseq
- Hands on experience with long read technologies (Oxford Nanopore/Pac Bio)
- Protocol development and troubleshooting
