Desired Skills and Experience
- Work with developers to ensure their applications are Ops ready (logging, monitoring, packaging, HA, etc.)
- Work with QA on Load and Performance testing applications and services
- Manage continuous integration environment
- Release management coordination
- Troubleshoot site outages and performance issues, including on-call response
- Assist in developing standards and procedures for packaging, deploying and automating Zonar software
- 5+ years Linux System Administration
- 3+ years coding/scripting experience
- 2+ years supporting the software development process
- Strong understanding of configuration management tools such as Puppet or Chef
- Strong understanding of continuous integration tools such as Go.CD or Jenkins
- Proficiency in scripting with Python or Perl
- Experience with Agile software development practices
- Understanding of continuous deployment/delivery
- Experience with virtualization technologies, specifically VMWare
- Familiarity with common open source technologies and tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to set goals, and achieve scheduled deadlines
- Ability to work positively with internal and external customers and as part of a team
- Hands-on, energetic and motivated self-starter
- Extreme attention to detail

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent industry experience
