Desired Skills and Experience
- standard Linux sysadmin tasks (performance tuning, back-up and recovery, monitoring, troubleshooting, installations, patches and upgrades, security, automation)
- management of dev, test, and production environments with configuration management (OpsWorks, Ansible or other tool)
- AWS specific tasks (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, OpsWorks, AutoScaling, cost management, etc.)
- management of our Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, etc)
- assisting with data migrations and data archiving
- some on-call / after hours work required
- expert Linux system administration skills (5+ years of experience)
- expert AWS administration skills (2+ years of experience)
- experience managing PostgreSQL
- must work well independently
- must have a high level of attention to detail
- must have strong problem solving and analytical skills
