Desired Skills and Experience
- Configuration, installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting of cloud and cluster system infrastructures (operating system, network, software, services) in collaboration with the infrastructure lead
- Design, implement and integrate infrastructure and IT services to support the agile software development including tools like Jenkins, Docker, Jupyter Hub, private code repositories, Atlassian packages, …
- Provide first and second level support to users and liaise with support from 3rd party vendors and security experts
- Training users in a broad range of areas related to infrastructure, security and IT services
- Monitor industry trends, systems and practices in DevOps
- Experience in administrating, operating and optimizing computing, storage clusters and cloud infrastructures
- Experience with network fabrics and core network infrastructure
- Track record of operating production services in a dynamic environment
- Experience with configuration management tools (eg: Puppet, Ansible)
- Experience in integrating large sets of IT services in a coherent environment
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl, shell) and in the use of Git as CVS
- Proficiency in computer systems security
- Experience with robust development, testing and debugging practices, leaning towards agile methodologies
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent job related experience with minimum 2 years of experience of hands-on, direct DevOps
- Experience working as a DevOps in a collaborative, multi-cultural and dynamic environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral
- Proven ability to work independently and in team-based environments
- Fluent communication in English (written and spoken)
