  • Embeds themselves into other cross-functional teams and processes to ensure business and technical requirements are captured and prioritized for infrastructure planning.
  • Based on engineering principals and standards, creates and maintains infrastructure capacity models used to forecast and size data center power, racks and cooling capacity.
  • Validates procurement requirements using models, designs and certified infrastructure architectures.
  • Requests infrastructure quotes, solicits funding approvals and tracks procurement logistics.
  • Informs and support engineers in regards to infrastructure scaling, future growth and augments.
  • Partners with compute, storage and network engineers to validate bill of materials, designs and deliverables.
  • Leads and manages a team of infrastructure capacity engineering analysts who define and maintain the infrastructure capacity planning framework and inventory.
  • Continuously balances team priorities against project milestones and escalates to leadership as needed to remove progress blockers.
  • Documents, analyzes and communicates planning process improvements in order to advocate efficiency and gain adoption.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to train others in developing intricate capacity models.
  • Proactive attitude, with excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
