Desired Skills and Experience

• Hands-on experience with MySQL
• Experience writing and tuning SQL queries
• Detailed understanding of MySQL storage engines, particularly InnoDB and MyISAM
• Strong Linux administration skills
• Experience with automation (Ansible, Puppet or Chef)
• Experience of supporting multi-node production environments with terabytes of data
• Hands-on experience in administering MongoDB from version 3.0 and greater
• Knowledge of Hadoop and Map/Reduce concepts
• Understanding of Java and Hibernate
• Strong experience in Perl/Python (if you don’t already have experience here, we’ll teach you)
