Desired Skills and Experience
- Medium and long-term procurement planning; in close collaboration with other departments and globally with the Commodity Managers
- Support the Commodity Managers in selection of suppliers
- Negotiations with suppliers / supplier control
- Participation in the development of logistics concepts (kanban, consignment)
- Ensure the material-flow
- Crane-standard contracts; contract review and monitoring
- Monitoring and administration of ongoing rental, leasing, maintenance and service contracts
- Procurement controlling and global sourcing also within the scope of the Crane Group network
- Close cooperation with the engineering department and material management in regard of material specifications and delivery standards for product development
- Ensuring DIN EN ISO 9001 by means of quality in purchasing and integration of suppliers into quality assurance
- Certified technical or business studies or equivalent qualification
- At least five years of professional experience as a Purchasing Manager (m/f) in an international company
- Extensive experience in electrical engineering / mechanical engineering as well as knowledge of contract law
- Pronounced negotiation skills as well as an independent, analytical way of working
- Fluency in English and German
- Good MS Office and SAP / R3 knowledge
- Excellent negotiation skills
