Desired Skills and Experience
- Partner with the director of migration, customer success managers, and clients to ensure the most efficient migration of client data.
- Serve as a data migration consultant in support of sales.
- Assist migrations director with selection of and management of any ETL tools and technical processes.
- Make recommendations and work to improve the data migration process to better predict and manage migration deadlines and client needs - Reusable and repeatable code and processes are key
- Monitor and make recommendations/updates to data security and integrity
- Mentoring team of migration specialists and technicians
- Act as a technical advisor for small team of developers
- Work with development team(s) to coordinate cross-team development efforts and code deploys
- 5-10 years experience managing and coordinating data extraction, translation, and loading projects.
- Firm grasp of data migration strategies, best practices, and pitfalls
- Experience with SQL Server, Amazon AWS, SSMS
- Senior level SQL knowledge (5-10 years)
- Script Optimization
- Enterprise Data Warehouse and Extract Transform Load knowledge
- Experience with AWS Glue, SSIS, Informatica, or other services
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to document via shared team knowledge base
- Ability to help create repeatable/reusable code/scripts
- Experience working with remote/distributed teams
