Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Management, IT, Human Resources or related field); Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 plus years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Technical aptitude and sophisticated facility with computer software including business process systems, databases and spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge and ability to understand complex personnel datasets and business processes and facility with translating them into user-accessible formats; Experience developing queries and writing reports from such systems.
  • Experience with training and developing system documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with data administration and analysis working with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Ability to act on initiative, identify opportunities and be proactive in putting forward ideas and solutions.
  • Experience with process mapping, project management, and effecting change.
  • Collaborative work style and excellent communication skills.
  • Background in higher education with preference for experience with academic personnel administration, academic collective bargaining agreements and HR systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with appropriate discretion and sensitivity.
  • Advanced Excel skills; In-depth knowledge of other desktop applications.
