Desired Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years of experience delivering Data Center infrastructure products and services (server, storage, and networking).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing and coordinating projects as well as leading technical resources.
  • Intermediate experience with multiple operating systems including Redhat Linux, Microsoft Windows, IBM AIX, and VMware ESX
  • Experience with monitoring and supporting Wintel WEB based service
  • 2-3 years Oracle, Oracle RAC and MS SQL specific experience a plus
  • Understanding the VMware Virtual Center environment, including new VM creation, modification, and deletion
  • Experience with blade-based server platforms and their design and management tools, such as HP and IPDco UCS
  • Understanding of standard layered tools including CFengine, Tivoli, Symantec ESM, NetSNMP, KeON, etc
  • Good working knowledge of automated server workflow and provisioning tools such as Oracle SOA and VCAC (DynamicOps)
  • Experience with SAN and NAS data storage technologies including EMC, Hitachi Data Systems, IBM XIV, NetApp, and F5 Acopia
  • Good understanding of routing/switching concepts, IP assignment, LAN/WAN/VLAN configurations, CISCO/Juniper products, and network inventory management systems
  • Experience with process engineering, ITIL/Six Sigma approaches, workflow management and complex provisioning environments
  • Proven success delivering enterprise technologies to the lines of business in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Global infrastructure planning and delivery experience
  • Understanding of a production environment 
  • Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented and a  responsible team-player
  • Understanding of ITIL concepts especially Incident and Change management principles is a mandatory requirement
  • Understanding of Agile methodology. Scrum Master certification a plus
  • Understanding of Cloud Computing and platforms
  • Good Reporting and Data Analysis skills utilizing SAP Business Objects/MS Excel
  • Knowledge of internal GTI Programs such as GT Vision, Client Experience (CX), Rules of the Road a plus
  • Understanding of Automation, API calls, Systems Integration
