Desired Skills and Experience
- Collaborative by nature and eager to work on a close-knit team
- Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and experience with server and network diagnostics
- Experience with build automation, deployment, and configuration management using Ansible, Salt, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, or equivalent; JavaScript build system experience such as Webpack appreciated as well
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services; note that experience with AWS is required
- Strong experience with SQL databases
- A strong understanding of code and script (Python, Perl and/or Ruby) and a proven ability to develop with craft
- Knowledge of IT operations for an enterprise-class 24/7 service
- Insight into high-availability techniques and technology
- Experience with Django
- Experience with PostgreSQL is highly desirable; NoSQL is a plus
- Experience with RDS, Lambda, SQS, Route53, IAM, CloudFront, S3, StepFunctions
- Experience with New Relic
- Experience with macOS
