- Ensuring that the CODE service portfolio offers the availability, latency performance and efficiency required by our customers
- Change management for how CODE approaches site reliability, including emergency response and capacity planning
- Helping our teams design and build scalable, reliable and highly available systems with CI pipelines, repeatable builds and automation on cloud-based infrastructure.
- Help Sandvik CODE meet internal and external SLA’s with techniques such as canary releases and chaos engineering.
- Mentoring, supporting and pair program with junior engineers to help spread knowledge and best practices throughout Sandvik CODE
- A deep understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Extensive experience of managing software deployments on modern cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Extensive experience with Linux systems
- Experience with container technology (LXC, Docker)
- Experience with monitoring complex applications and their services
- Experience of helping organizations meet SLA by applying proven methodologies for preemptive and reactive mitigation of service disruption
- Strong skills in .NET Core, Go or C++
- Comfortability in a scripting language, preferably python
- Extensive experience in building scalable and resilient systems on cloud-based infrastructure
- Solid understanding of micro-service architecture
- Solid understanding of service discovery and load balancing
- Experience with configuration as code
