- Care deeply about the developer experience

- Be opinionated but practical in your applications
- Have a “get it done” attitude and a background of delivering superb work consistently
- 3+ years of experience managing Linux servers and automating their management
- The ability to write good documentation, and not completely hate doing so
- Setup and maintained build and deployment pipelines
- Proficiency in bash and, ideally, Ruby
- Excitement for new technologies, but caution in deploying them
- Ability to effectively communicate in a professional and courteous manner with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- You have opinions on Chef vs Puppet vs Salt, but would take either over doing it by hand
- You love automation, and scripting those annoying manual tasks you had to do many times
- You can list all SPOFs of the systems you manage without hesitation, and you work towards removing them
- You worry about performance and cost, and how to illustrate the tradeoffs
- Security holes keep you up at night
- Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Linux+, e.g., CompTIA Linux+
- CCNA or equivalent
- Top-to-bottom ownership of iOffer’s infrastructure, including physical servers, network equipment, and virtual platform.
- Datacenter and Systems Administration - Maintaining and improving the security posture of the systems, continuous monitoring of system health, and solving issues that arise.
- Supporting the iOffer Development Team - Match the platform and infrastructure to the Development team’s needs.
- Administrating a diverse array of systems including: MySQL, Solr, Redis, InfluxDB, Cisco network equipment, and VMWare
