Desired Skills and Experience
- Develop infrastructure as code frameworks to manage Pason’s AWS infrastructure deployments.
- Develop and design a system to support rolling deployments, system auto-scaling and automation of monitoring in AWS.
- Work with the AWS migration team to improve the integration of Pason’s DataHub application with AWS technologies.
- Develop and improve Pason’s automated software deployment system to decrease deployment time.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Proficient experience working with Python or Java
- Experience working with configuration management technologies such as Puppet and Ansible are preferred
- Experience working with Amazon Web Services including: EC2, ELB, S3, RDS is preferred
- Strong cloud development and automation skills
- Experience with the following tools: GIT (or equivalent), Jenkins, Artifactory
- Experience working in an agile development environment (Scrum or Kanban)
- Familiar with Development Operations principles
- Organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects
- Self-awareness, with a desire for constant self-improvement
- Strong advocate for quality on the team and motivated to deliver top quality results
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- 5+ years’ experience of web application software development in Python or Java
- Demonstrated experience automating existing production applications.
- Demonstrated experience automating AWS production deployments through AWS CLI, Boto or CloudFormation.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
