Desired Skills and Experience
- as a scientist, you participate in any activity needed to bring the software to the users, from requirements through design to helping the users integrate the solution in their IT landscape
- writing code is part of it, but not your only focus
- you help devise novel solutions for the needs of medical researchers and implement them
- you participate in the creation of scientific publications (journal articles, conference talks, posters) related to your work
- you help coordinate our work with colleagues from other teams and institutions
- A degree in computer science, medical informatics, or a related discipline, or professional experience in one of these fields
- Understanding the process of developing web applications with common software technologies (Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST) and modelling of software architectures
- Experience with data storage technologies - relational databases are a must, further technologies are a plus
- Knowledge in the areas of medicine or medical documentation is an advantage, but not required
- Strategic, user oriented thinking and easy communication with teammates and external partners
- Self-reliant, responsible and motivated work
- Fluent English and good German language skills
