Desired Skills and Experience
- Monitor application services and systems and investigate anomalies.
- Ensure testing and deployment is streamlined and automated.
- Help developers with deployment and bug investigation.
- Ensure all systems are securely configured and up-to-date.
- Analyse system performance, detect bottlenecks, propose solutions (or workarounds).
- Hands on experience with AWS and Docker
- Able to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
- Able to code and script, and debug in a Linux environment
- Knowledge of build systems and ability to perform merging, branching and configuration management
- Working knowledge of security principles: server security, file systems and access control
- Comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment, and continuous integration
- Understanding and focus on business outcomes
- Able to work independently on large, complex projects with minimal guidance
