Desired Skills and Experience
- Join the team that will design, build and maintain a set of Kubernetes clusters in multiple geographies
- Collaborate with existing technology teams to ensure our Kubernetes clusters are highly available, secure and meet the needs of our users
- Provide on call support process for third line escalations
- Experience with deploying Kubernetes Clusters on bare metal or virtualized infrastructure or Public Cloud
- Experience of monitoring, troubleshooting, scaling production Kubernetes workloads
- Knowledge of designing and adapting software to be twelve factor compliant applications
- Strong understanding of Container technologies like Docker
- Knowledge of deployment tooling like Terraform or similar infrastructure as code solutions
- Ability to script in one or more scripting languages like Python or Go(lang)
- Linux fundamentals
- Experience in On Call support for mission critical systems
- Understanding of overlay networks, and experience with Flannel, Calico or similar
- Understanding of Software defined networking, BGP, VlANs, network architecture and load balancing
- OpenStack, Google Cloud Platform, GKE, ECS, Contrail
- Overseas travel
- Rotational on call
