Desired Skills and Experience
- Operate and deploy service from development to production.
- Develop and test automation, tooling and processes to deploy, run, and scale the open edX service in the cloud.
- Participate in troubleshooting and performance analysis activities.
- Plan and perform application updates upon new major versions of Open edX.
- Coordinate developments with project partners.
- Experience operating a cloud-based service.
- Experience as a system administrator on Linux distributions.
- Experience with automation and deployment on cloud based infrastructures
- Knowledge of Open edX architecture and experience in software development a strong plus.
- Experience of different performance and functionality testing approaches a plus
- Interest for learning technologies
- Swiss German and French a plus
- Systems: OpenStack, Hadoop, Ubuntu, MongoDB, MySQL, ElasticSearch.
- Application: Python, Django, open edX.
- Tools: Terraform, Ansible, Percona, Jenkins, Graphana, Kibana, etc.
