Desired Skills and Experience

Recommend evolution strategy and conceptual direction for network systems;
Lead the research and development of innovative and progressive re-design and configuration plans for all network operating systems and services;
Conduct analysis of network performance, circuit utilization, network traffic and identify develop cost-effective optimization strategies;
Ensure relentless monitoring of network services and develop testing and recovery procedures to ensure high availability of services;
Experience with scripting languages to assist in the automation of common tasks along with knowledge of software defined networking and SD-WAN;
Develop, implement, manage, and maintain network security and integrity strategies, policies and procedures; and
Coach and mentor IT resources.
Completion of post-secondary education in Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field;
A minimum of 7 years of experience in a network architecture role including experience designing and implementing wide area network and cloud based network solutions;
Strong working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including TCP/IP, IPSEC, DNS, WINS, DHCP, SMTP, NAT
Strong working technical knowledge of layer 2 and Layer 3 networking & routing protocols including Spanning Tree, CDP, VTP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF;
Strong research, problem solving and analytical abilities;
Ability to remain effective in a fast-paced agile environment; and
Ability to thrive in an innovative work environment.
