Desired Skills and Experience
- You will be responsible for keeping all Revinate’s services running in Rackspace, AWS and Google Cloud
- Build and scale highly available distributed microservices with high quality of service for customers
- Implementation of proactive monitoring, alerting, trend analysis and build self-healing systems
- Manage Cassandra, Kafka, ElasticSearch environments and build company-wide standards for using these services
- Troubleshoot failures and performance issues across services and put in preventive measures
- Influence design/architecture of Revinate’s services to proactively prevent system failures
- Participate in on-call rotations, driving restoration
- Participate in scrum teams as service level owner and provide consultation on using the services maintained by the SRE team
- 3+ years of managing distributed SaaS systems in public and private cloud environments. AWS experience preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in Kubernetes / Docker environment. CoreOS experience would be preferred
- 3+ years of experience with Unix / Linux system administration
- 2+ years of practical experience building continuous delivery pipelines
- 2+ years of experience with 12-factor web applications
- Proficient in Java, Go, Python, or Ruby
- Practical experience with MySQL, Cassandra, ElasticSearch is required
- Experience in managing Kafka, Spark environment would be preferred
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is required
