Desired Skills and Experience

• Deploy regular upgrades to production network equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose operational issues and environments
• Design, plan and deploy major upgrades and migrations to production network
• Evaluate new technologies, suppliers and strategies
• Interact with suppliers and partners in deliveries of new services and assist in day-to-day maintenance
• Evaluate and implement new PoPs together with stakeholders
• Maintain and improve techniques to monitor and troubleshoot our network
• Extensive hands-on experience in data center and WAN networking
• Solid understanding of dynamic routing using BGP and OSPF
• BGP peering procedures and traffic engineering
• Solid understanding of queueing and CoS
• Experience from working with procurement
• Hands-on experience with Junos
• Strong systems programming or sysadmin background
• Container networking
• OpenDaylight, OpenContrail or similar
• OSS-based routing with FRRouting, Quagga, BIRD
• Whitebox switching with ONL, Cumulus, Big Switch, SONiC or similar
• NFV for dataplane on x86 using VPP, DPDK or Snabbswitch
• Leaf-spine switching fabrics
