Desired Skills and Experience
- Develop and implement innovative and secure features and functionality for ecommerce
- Create implementation plans and setups, and configure systems
- Troubleshoot, research and analyze issues/concerns to solve problems
- Formalize the security patch and code release management program, review the patches, evaluate the risk, and apply the patches using a risk based approach
- Work with cross-functional teams to support customer requests
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers and software
- Write and modify scripts (e.g. PHP) for systems monitoring, event detection, reporting, etc.
- Deploy applications and updates to cloud services
- Manage server deployment, upgrades and version releases
- Manage PCI compliance
- Apply knowledge in Magento, PHP, MySQL & JavaScript to extend, enhance and build great user experiences
- Apply ecommerce business requirements and convert to a coherent design
- Maintain documentation of all procedures and designs
- Oversee transition to Magento 2
- Execute and deliver on all other assigned tasks and projects
- Must have project management experience, be highly organized, and have meticulous attention to detail
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to work cross-departmentally at all levels of the organization effectively
- Must be ambitious and eager to play in multiple sandboxes
- Must have robust working knowledge in Magento, PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript, including at least 2 years’ experience with each
- Must have at least 2+ years’ experience with Linux servers and strong Linux troubleshooting skills
- Must have experience scaling web applications and optimizing web server configurations
- Amazon Web Services/virtual server experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
