Desired Skills and Experience
- Develop, modify, and tune tables, views, stored procedures and scripts using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Model database structure based on business requirements for custom software development projects.
- Monitor environments and respond to issues that arise on numerous SQL Server instances across multiple clients.
- Evaluate existing SQL environments and spec out new ones.
- Set up new SQL Server clusters including FCE & Availability Groups.
- Perform SQL Server health checks, analyze performance, and audit data security.
- Collaborate with other SQL Server resources across the company to continue to build a set of service offerings and skills that provide the most value to our customers.
- Other SQL Server related tasks as requested by our customers.
- 5+ years of SQL Server DBA and/or Development experience
- Advanced understanding of SQL Server best practices
- Ability to work with others and delegate tasks
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Strong experience with SQL Server clusters including FCE & Availability Groups
- Must be able to manage own workload with little direct oversight
- SSRS experience
- Experience with SIOS Datakeeper
- .NET software development experience
- The ability to put a large amount of spin on ping pong serves goes a long way with this group
