Desired Skills and Experience
- Significant experience in both Systems Engineering and Software development
- Proficiency in at least one of these disciplines:
- Internals of distributed Operating System (Unix/Linux, Windows, Z/OS)
- Systems programming
- Network programming
- Experience using large scale software development in one of these languages: (Java, Python, .Net, C++, etc.)
- Experience using system and software security and entitlements such as SSO, windows, Kerberos, LDAP, Windows AD
- Experience with new and emerging technologies such as cloud and virtualization
- Experience in automation using at least one scripting language such as Python, Perl, PHP or Bash
- Strong experience in the day to day usage and troubleshooting of Linux based operating systems such as RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu
- Detailed understanding of IaaS and virtualization â service orientated architecture designed around the delivery of Infrastructure components as a service
- Proficient with configuration & release management tools like Ansible, Chef or Puppet
- Experience with low-level networking constructs such routing protocols or network overlay implementations
- Knowledge of Cloud providers such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform services, etc
