Desired Skills and Experience

Experience in day-to-day administration of Jira & Confluence including operational support, troubleshooting, tuning, upgrade & optimization.
Experience with customising Jira & Confluence (develop plugin and scripts) and other application integrations.
Current knowledge of Java, JavaScript, HTML, Groovy, SQL, Bash and UNIX command line tools. Hands-on experience in writing code is a must.
Demonstrable experience in Release Engineering, DevOps and Configuration Management
Good understanding of TomCat including JVM tuning and Apache.
Experience across the entire software development life-cycle from inception, through build to production
Strong familiarity with source code repositories and change management tools, particularly Git.
Experience with a configuration and deployment management tools is an advantage, e.g. UrbanCode, Ansible, Puppet, Chef
Understanding of IT Service Management and project management methods
A “can-do” attitude, capability of bootstrapping projects, and ability to effectively work with multi-disciplinary, internal and external distributed teams across the project lifecycle
Strong familiarity with source code repositories and change management tools, particularly Git
Familiarity with agile development practices, continuous integration and test automation (TDD, BDD, Selenium)
Experience automating release and build processes using Jenkins
Experience across the entire software development life-cycle from inception, through build to production
