Desired Skills and Experience
- Help shape the future: you help to bring a fully automated self-driving car onto the road.
- Use your creativity and freedom: you develop algorithms in the fields behaviour planning in uncertain environments and kinodynamic motion planning under uncertainty.
- Observe and think ahead: you design solutions to analyze the current traffic situation by using sensor and map information and use probabilistic predictions to analyze how the traffic evolves.
- Create something new: you code scalable, maintainable and robust software in C++ that is running on different platforms (Linux, Embedded System).
- Reliable implementation: you evaluate the developed algorithms in simulation as well as real-world scenarios in the automated vehicle.
- Live internationally: you develop the automated system in collaboration with teams from different departments and different parts of the world.
- Personality: you have excellent communication skills and like to take on responsibility.
- Working Method: you work independently but also effectively as part of a big team. You love to tackle challenging problems and are able to solve them.
- Experience: you have expert-knowledge and experience in developing algorithms for planning for automated driving. Knowledge of machine-learning techniques is a plus.
- Know-how: you have excellent programming skills and several
- years of practical experience in C++ coding. Ideally you are familiar with Linux, ROS, source code management (git) and unit testing.
- Qualifications: you know how to design good software and how to integrate it into the system.
- Languages: you communicate proficiently in English (German is a plus).
- Education: you have a Master’s or PhD degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or a related field.
