Desired Skills and Experience

  • You help us migrate our current dedicated hosting infrastructure fully to AWS

  • You plan and execute a strategy for a secure and highly available multi-account AWS infrastructure that includes auto-scaling, automated provisioning and deployment 

  • You work side by side with our software engineering teams to enable them to deploy and run their code independently on their infrastructure which is based on your fundamental work

  • You consult our engineering collegaues with in-depth knowledge of scalability, security, automation and monitoring, both on application and infrastructure level.

  • You help optimize our deployment chain with the goal of a comprehensive CI/CD process

  • You work side by side with our software engineering teams to enable them to deploy and run their code independently on their infrastructure which is based on your fundamental work

  • You consult our engineering collegaues with in-depth knowledge of scalability, security, automation and monitoring, both on application and infrastructure level.

  • You help optimize our deployment chain with the goal of a comprehensive CI/CD process

  • 3+ years of in-depth experience on AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, R53, Athena, Kinesis, CloudFront), both conceptual and hands-on knowledge in complex multi-team environments

  • Expert knowledge of CI/CD strategies

  • Big fan of “infrastructure as code” concepts and experienced in tooling such as Puppet / Chef / Ansible and Terraform / CloudFormation 

  • Familiar with containerization with Docker

  • Professional knowledge of both shell scripting and at least one programming language such as Scala, Java, Python, Ruby, PHP

  • Excellent communicative competence in English (German would be a plus) and a good sense of humor
