Systems Administrator for cutting-edge AI platform at PROWLER.io (Cambridge, UK)

Desired Skills and Experience

• Design, develop and maintain infrastructure to serve customers and internal research activities
• Acquire and provision equipment for all levels of the company (workstations, servers, and teleconferencing)
• Work with operations team to ensure that monitoring and alerting is place around critical systems
• Protect infrastructure and data from cyber threats
• Manage authentication, authorization and accounting
• Define new IT processes and policies where required
• Provide support with employee IT issues
• Minimum 3 years of experience in complex computing infrastructure
• Expertise in Linux, with a working knowledge of MacOS and Windows
• Experience administrating a large multi-site network
• Ability to interpret metrics and logs from a distributed cloud system to diagnose issues
• Ability to automate processes using modern tools (e.g. Ansible and Puppet)
• Knowledge about cyber security and the mindset to continuously stay vigilant
• Degree in Computer Science or similar an advantage
• Expertise with cloud services (AWS, GCE, Azure)
• Recent Cisco certification or similar
• Hands on experience setting up racks in a data-centre
