- Design, installation, and maintenance of blade and SAN system
- Manage infrastructure buildout for office expansion
- Consolidate, migrate, and/or reorganize internal applications such as Sharepoint, Confluence, Slack, MS Teams, etc.
- Assist with design, implementation, and migration of our phone system to Skype for Business
- Design and configure redundant network infrastructure for communicating with multiple endpoints throughout the world
- Restructure VLANs and Wireless to segment the network between departments
- Must be able to work independently, assess internal security, prioritize projects and tasks, and implement solutions
- Create and maintain detailed network and system diagrams and documentation
- Work with SecOps and Support Desk to implement additional security-related systems
- Develop and maintain official documentation for securing both hardware and software systems
- Work with SecOps to monitor and defend systems against unauthorized access, modification, and/or destruction
- Configure and support network hardware such as firewalls, routers, switches, wireless networks, UPS systems, servers, and VoIP devices
- Implement and maintain patch management systems, remote management, system monitoring software, etc.
- Alongside SecOps, maintain best practices for RBAC and least privilege in all hardware and software systems
- Implement, test, and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Assist the helpdesk team as a systems and networking SME and be available for issue escalation.
- Monitor performance of servers and virtual machines
- Manage internal-facing software systems, both on-prem and hosted
- Manage and/or perform a variety of internal projects
- 6+ years of applicable experience in a systems administrator or similar role
- Hands-on hardware/software/network troubleshooting
- Understanding different backup and disaster recovery approaches
- Knowledge of Multifactor Authentication (MFA) and SSO/SAML
- Expert knowledge of SAN/NAS devices, routers, switches, VLANs, VoIP, QoS, Dell Servers, HP Blade Servers
- Must be a networking expert and understand IP Subnetting, VLANs, QoS, STP, etc
- Expert knowledge setting up and maintaining network applications such as DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, NPS, SSL & IPSec VPNs, syslog servers
- Expert knowledge of common protocols such as SNMP, HTTPS, SMTP, NTP, LDAPS, (T)FTP, SSH
- Experience using tools such as Telnet/SSH, port scanners, network protocol analyzers, and other network monitoring tools
- Microsoft product expert including, Windows Server 2012-2016, Windows 10, Sharepoint, Office365, Group Policy, Active Directory, WSUS, OS Deployment
- Network device experience including, Cisco, Ubiquity, and Watchguard devices
- Expert hypervisor knowledge, preferably Microsoft Hyper-V experience
- Desired certifications: Network+, Server+, MCSA/MCSE, CCENT/CCNA, etc.
