Desired Skills and Experience
- Time estimates: You will facilitate project planning by providing effort estimates for tasks assigned to you by the Lead Engineer. You should be able to deliver goals in a timely manner and provide regular progress updates.
- Documentation: You will be required to document your work clearly and concisely in the source code.
- Maintenance: You will actively contribute to software quality and stability by fixing bugs and implementing minor features.
- Travel: Occasional trips to the US may occur as part of this role.
- Good knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Python.
- DevOps or Sysadmin experience on Linux and Windows environments
- Experience with AWS or similar Cloud platforms.
- Experience with management tools like Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
- Successful track record of working in a development or DevOps team.
- Experience of commercial software development to deadlines.
- Good communication skills, organisation, and time management.
