  • Support and lifecycle of Mac and Windows workstations
  • Support, ongoing development and lifecycle of Linux and Mac server infrastructure
  • Management and further development of our onsite storage and backup infrastructure, on the basis of clustered file systems and open-source solutions
  • Deployment of client operating systems (Mac, Linux, Windows) and application software
  • Documentation of IT infrastructure and its processes, as well as help with internal projects
  • Support and assistance for our employees and students in IT-based research projects
  • IT support for our staff and students (Helpdesk).
  • A technical degree or comparable training and many years of experience in the IT sector
  • Excellent skills in the operation and configuration of Linux (RedHat/CentOS, Debian) as a server operating system
  • Confidence in dealing with desktop systems MacOS, Linux and Windows
  • Dealing with common Unix/Linux tools is second nature for you
  • Friendly and service-oriented interaction with employees and customers is a matter of course for you
  • Flexibility, commitment, initiative and a willingness to continue to learn
  • Knowledge of ITIL service management frameworks, project management methods as well as ICT System Engineering is an advantage
