Job description

Job Summary

  • The Systems Engineer provides support to all EAI Information Technology infrastructure, systems and software applications. This includes Servers, Storage, Desktops, Network, COTS software, and other systems. This role includes coordination with outsourced services onsite, managed service providers and other support services. This is a hands-on role and suited for someone who is a jack-of-all-trades.  This position reports to the Director of IT.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities


  • de support and coordination for the Windows Server and Desktop, Active Directory, O365, Azure, SharePoint environment with the Managed Service Provider Must

  • have experience planning and configuring Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Hyper V, Azure Active Directory and other related Microsoft technologies.

  • Experience with Redhat Linux Desktop, Window 10 and 7 desktop configurations and troubleshooting.

  • Works with IT management to ensure a secure environment and compliance with policies.

  • Documents new procedures and new technologies and process are integrated.

  • Coordinate support effort with Managed Service providers and other 3rd parties.

  • Interface with vendors to obtain the required equipment and software in a timely manner while ensuring proper audit and budget controls are met.

  • Provide direction in complex problem-solving situations and participate in direct interaction with internal staff and external providers as required. Identify process improvement opportunities achievable within EAI.

  • Act as liaison for internal and external communications directly with departments as required. Provide regular status reports and gather requirements from departments and provide input into the infrastructure products that are bought or built.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX processes and procedures.

  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of hardware upgrades, network upgrades, and new configurations.

  • Interact with customers at the technical level, as required.

  • Respond for the assigned functions by the provisions of the Manual of Delegations or Allocation of Functions and their Guidelines and Matrices, to ensure the proper development and management of budget, assets, income and/or sales, of according to the roles and responsibilities of the area.

  • Ensure compliance with the objectives and goals of Occupational Health, Industrial Safety and Processes and Corporate Social Responsibility.


Education/Experience** :**

Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering (or related area).

Technical Competencies:


  • ience with Windows 7 and 10, Windows server 2008, 2012, 2016

  • Experience with Windows and O365 Administration and technologies.

  • Experience with virtualization and storage technologies

  • Knowledge of Networking switches, firewalls, wireless and security appliances

  • Knowledge of VoIP and Telephony systems

  • Knowledge of Videoconferencing systems e.g. Polycom and Skype

Language Ability** :**

Bilingual in both English and Spanish preferred

Overall Experience Requirement** :**


  • to five years of experience in IT in maintaining and supporting a Microsoft environment including Azure Active Directory, O365, Azure networking and storage

  • Strong record of completed projects across various computing platforms.

  • Functional knowledge of network topologies and technologies including MPLS, SD-WAN, Firewalls, IDS, IDP, Wireless (Cisco and Palo Alto preferred)
