Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:  

The PeopleSoft System Administrator will help manage PeopleSoft environments including PUM upgrades, patches, change assistant, DMS jobs, code migrations, performance tuning, and monitoring of Web and Application servers. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM in a 9.1 or 9.2 environment.

  • rm upgrade and maintenance of PeopleSoft applications, middleware and servers which includes installing new software releases and system upgrades, evaluating and installing patches.

  • Functions as part of the team to test, implement and enhance PeopleSoft systems and applications to meet dynamic business needs. Understands PeopleSoft configuration, change management and testing activities to support a service-oriented architecture and integration between all applications.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical problems with PeopleSoft systems to include application, process scheduler, reporting and security problems.

  • Familiar with security design for PeopleSoft applications and systems. Administers PeopleSoft systems security measures to protect data, software and hardware.

  • Monitors application performance, provides recommendations for enhancements/changes.

  • Using in house developed or third party tools and processes, assist in management of code deployments

  • ¬†Provides programming/scripting assistance to support PeopleSoft system automation; debugs and tunes/optimizes SQL statements.

REQUIREMENTS:

Peopl

  • eSoft v9.2

  • PeopleTools v8.56

  • 5 years experience working in Oracle database environment

  • 5 years experience in PeopleSoft HR, Procurement and / or Financials applications

  • Hands on experience in PeopleSoft security configuration and management

  • Hands on experience with configuration and usage of PeopleSoft integration/interface tools (Integration Broker, Component Interface, App Engine, web services, etc.)

  • Hands on experience in PeopleSoft Change Management practices (PUM, Change Assistant, etc.)

  • 5 years application administration experience in a development and production support role

Must also possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities :

  • Unix shell scripting

  • Strong verbal and written skills

  • Strong documentation skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Strong Leadership and Communication Skills

  • Experience installing and managing other tools such as Hyperion, Phire, UPK and Elastic Search considered a plus
