Job description

Title: WebSphere/DevOps Administrator

Our Client is a mid-size, global industry leader with a track record of consistent growth and stability! This person will be responsible for design through implementation and support of Middleware systems and DevOps tools. Required Skills:
-5+ years WebSphere Administration experience; WebSphere Application Server,
 WebSphere/ActiveMQ, JBoss EAP, and Tomcat
-2+ years DevOps experience to include tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Ant, Git, SVN,
 deploy
-Scripting or coding experience (such as Shell, PowerShell, etc.)
-Some Java, J2EE, JMS programming knowledge
-JVM experience - Performance tuning and troubleshooting experience
-Experience with web technologies – Web Servers, load balancers, databases
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Able to work after hours as needed; rotating on-call production support
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented, strong problem-solver!
-Ability to participate in rotating on-call duties

Preferred Skills:
-Cloud and Containers experience
-AEM experience

Education:
-Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Responsibilities: Will be responsible for design, configuration, integration, installation and support for Middleware systems and DevOps tools on both Windows and UNIX platforms. Will establish processes, workflows, automation and troubleshooting for code deployment and release process using DevOps tools. Provide technical support to application development, QA, and production environments. Will serve as liaison between development and infrastructure teams. Will maintain application servers to include patching and upgrades, review and implement policies to ensure application server security integrity and monitor availability of application servers and optimize configurations as needed.
