We have been retained by our client in Dallas, Texas to deliver an IoT Cloud Developer consultant to join our client’s growing team. This opportunity is open to remote workers across the USA. They are hyper-focused on delivering the next generation of IoT technology. Our client is a startup company, in business for 6 years.
Work independently building a LoraWAN system (e.g. Lora Gateway, Network controller) that connects beacons to a cloud system (e.g. MQTT protocol)
Talk to LoraWAN vendors to understand how to connect beacons to the Lora gateways, interconnect Lora nodes and connect the Lora hub to a cloud system, directly.
Work with our client’s team of software engineers and technical leaders in understanding of the existing and future architecture and provide recommendations on how to adapt the existing system to the new LoraWAN system.
Provide technical documentation with LoraWAN developed solution.
Provide presentation to client’s teams handing over operational procedures.
Participate on regular meetings providing feedback on progress to the Executive management team.
The Ideal Candidate:
Strong background on LoraWAN air interface and protocols
A self-starter with the ability to take the lead
Exceptional interpersonal skills to develop relationships
Ability to work hands on with LoraWAN nodes
Excellent team player capable of collaborating with internal teams
We will need someone to architect, develop/code a LoRaWAN network controller and a LoRaWAN gateway to help complete the LoRa network, from end to end. This project includes building the LoRa server, the LoRa network controller, to complete the LoRa network from end to end. The LoRaWAN Gateway can be bought, or could be created by this person.
If only AWS that’s fine. If in Azure that’s fine, or some other cloud technologies, that is fine. This person will decide how to do it best, and implement it.
Architect and build the LoRa server, and build a cloud based network controller, for this next gen Lora network.
This LoRa network controller needs to be built soon. An immediate start date is possible, and this work can be done after hours, and evenings, and part-time, or full-time contract, remote from anywhere in the USA.
A qualified candidate will have professional experience in, work examples, or work history and project descriptions where you worked independently building a LoraWAN system (e.g. Lora Gateway, Network controller) that connects beacons to a cloud system (e.g. MQTT protocol ).
Must have participated in, or completed, the design and development, testing and deployment of a LoRA server, and a LoRaWAN network controller using the LoRa standard , before.
We will need someone who has experience in architecting, developing/coding a LoRaWAN network controller and a LoRaWAN gateway to help complete the LoRa network, from end to end. this project includes building the LoRa server, the LoRa network controller, to complete the LoRa network from end to end. The LoRaWAN Gateway can be bought, or could be created by this person.
A "work from home" office with internet, and cell phone.
Ability to work 20-40 hours per week: during the work-day or evenings, or after hours or weekends.
