Job description

The IT Help Desk Specialist is responsible for assisting the IT Manager to ensure the smooth operations of the computer systems and peripherals, within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. You will help with the implementation and maintenance of our company’s computing needs per direction of the IT Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the IT manager with projects, daily tasks and reporting.

  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware and peripherals.

  • Basic networking and configuration (WAN, LAN) troubleshooting.

  • Desktop setup and troubleshooting.

  • Printer/ Plotter troubleshooting.

  • Provide support to users in local and remote offices.

  • Assist with e-discovery projects, document production, disc copies, etc.

  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.

  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.

  • Resolve technical problems with local area networks (LAN), and other systems.

  • Follow up with end-users to ensure issue has been resolved

  • Train computer users.

  • Respond to end-user computer hardware and software support questions in a manner. that enhances user troubleshooting abilities and other IT related skills.

  • Asks questions freely to broaden knowledge and skills, listens and gets clarification.

  • Responds well to questions and feedback.

  • Contributes effectively in meetings with technical and non-technical people.

  • Perform Add and Remove changes for onboarding and offboarding.

  • Perform general administrative tasks related to the IT function.

Qualification Requirements:

- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel 2007, 2010, 2013). 

- Proficient with Windows 7 & Windows 10. 

- Proficient with Mobile Phone Use, Setup, and Troubleshooting (Android, IOS, Windows iPhone). 

- Familiar with Security, firewall and Anti-Virus software. 

- Familiar with remote assistance. 

- Must have basic networking (TCP/IP) knowledge. 

- Strong verbal communication skills.
