You are a technologist. You’ve had your hands in a little bit of everything and know how/where to go to troubleshoot tough issues like a pro. You may not be a software engineer but you are familiar with programming fundamentals and can follow along, read code and report bugs. You can trace packets, tell when a port is blocked or when DNS is not propagating. Patience is a virtue and one of your top 3 skills. You have great communication skills, verbal and written. We are looking for a strong Systems Administrator to provide our clients with excellent customer and technical support. This role will encompass support on all applications, networks, and databases involved in our client projects. Primary responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing software issues, developing monitoring solutions, performing software maintenance and configuration, investigating and fixing software bugs, performing SQL queries, updating, scripting, software configuration, tracking and resolving technical challenges, as well as maintaining applications through administering patches and installing hotfixes as needed. Contacting vendors, when necessary, to escalate bugs or to ask for more information. AKA Troubleshoot all the things.
** We have a flexible schedule for working onsite in our office or offsite at times. ** Occasional support is required during non-business hours.
Requirements Previous experience in Tech Support Engineer and/or System Admin roles Experience with the following: _Providing support via phone/chat Working in ticketing systems similar to ServiceNow or a system like JIRA Supporting package and/or custom solutions__Scripting (Bash and Powershell)_Working collaboratively with team members__Leveraging Atlassian tool suite (or like tool suite) for defect management, issues management and wiki documentation Conceptual understanding of web based application stacks (frontend, services, database) Understanding of enterprise level server/network architecture, hardware, OS
