SoftPro is looking for the right candidate that can join the existing team in support of technologies (operating environments, architecture, hosting) and solutions (Hosted SoftPro Select, SoftPro 360 and other versions) provided for customers. The environment consists of a Microsoft .NET platform and a cloud based, multi-tenant, B2B integration platform. This is where SoftPro allows customers to order products and services directly from their desktops.

Job Description
SoftPro is seeking a well-rounded Systems Engineer to be a part of our Cloud Services Team in Raleigh, NC. This is a small team providing support of solutions using the latest Microsoft technologies, hosting services including Microsoft Azure and other service providers, encouraging your design input and creativity. This is an IT/Hosted support position which will require after-hours support so as not to impact customers’ normal operations. We are looking for a great person to be the next member of this team!   • Provide outstanding systems support through your technical & personal skills;
  • Participate in the development & architecture of monitoring for operational systems to include Performance, Application & Health for hosted and non-hosted environments;
  • Aid in the support, evolution & direction for virtualization & hosting;
  • Demonstrate your technical knowledge through providing operational support in a software development company focused on Microsoft technologies
  • ;Plan to grow technology in support of future organizational direction;
  • Assist, when necessary, to triage production issues and environments;
  • Develop capacity planning metrics and reporting;
  • Define, implement and assess system reporting and monitoring needs;

Required Skills

  • Building, Deploying, Patching & Managing Hyper-V hosts;
  • Windows AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP; Server 2012 & 2016
  • Terminal Services or Citrix support for application hosting;
  • Microsoft Azure Resource Manager – Familiarity with Azure RM Templates, JSON, Desired State Configuration;
  • SCCM, WSUS patching experience;
  • Software & Update automation deployment - solutions, scripting, etc.;
  • Experience in HA server environment planning, implementation and support;
  • Experience in building and supporting MS clusters (SQL, File, MSMQ);Audit & Compliance experience;
  • Powershell scripting;
  • Experience in x86 & x64 versions of MS Windows operating systems;
  • Experience in building, implementing and monitoring of server operations;
  • Experience supporting 24x7 systems & production operations;
  • VBScript scripting;
  • Experience in support and configuration of load balancers;
  • Experience and/or support knowledge of LAN/WAN devices and network technologies;
  • Strong customer service skills and able to work in a team environment;
  • Must exhibit a high-level of logical & analytical skills as well as attention to detail;

Desired Skills

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE);
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP);
  • Support & maintenance of large (multi-TB) SAN and fiber channel switches;

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree. Comparable IT industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree and certifications.
