Job description

Overview:

Lead the cloud infrastructure team responsible for enterprise cloud infrastructure technology roadmap, solution architecture, vendor management, operations and governance across the organization. In this role, this position will be responsible for the AWS and Azure cloud infrastructures, which includes, out-of-bound web and virtual server monitoring, centralized logging, alert escalations, WAN/LAN access, security, security compliance, security remediation, and defining the strategy and platform choices to support growing footprint in both AWS and Azure clouds

General Responsibilities:

  • Define, manage, drive team that implements enterprise wide logging, alerting and monitoring strategies for AWS and Azure cloud infrastructures.
  • Developing and overseeing SMART (Specific, Measurable, Accurate, Reliable, Timely) metrics for hardware, software, and storage ensuring strategic capacity planning
  • Managing cloud infrastructure team, including directly supervising some employees, hiring certain members, and handling employee concerns and performance
  • Manage cloud infrastructure costs and expenditures
  • Work with key customers to define platform requirements and provide necessary training (software engineering, infrastructure engineering, IT security, SOC, and NOC)
  • Determine appropriate tooling and identifying and recommended implementation of new technology solutions.
  • Design and implement infrastructure and security policies and reporting back to the upper management
  • Provide support to NOC and Engineering during outages and root cause analysis
  • Management of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
  • Coordinating IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary
  • Provides technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel.
  • Manage process of automated security and OS patching of all cloud-based instances in Azure and AWS
  • Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
  • Troubleshooting of global network performance across cloud infrastructure
  • Manage Security Testing from 3rd¬†party partners
  • Upgrades and configuration of Linux application virtual servers
  • Must have AWS and/or Azure certifications

  Information Security:

  • Accountable for company-wide (or cloud infrastructure) information security practices, policies, procedures, staff, and security compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, audits, and regulatory requirements including SOC1 and SOC2, ISO 27001/2, GDPR, and requirements of our customers and business partners.
  • Responsible for information security compliance, operations, audits, third party provider compliance, and testing.
  • Periodic reporting on our security compliance, material risks, etc. to executive management.
  • Responsible for company-wide information security risk management, incident management, security education and other related topics as appropriate.
  • Manage response to evolving security threats and compliance requirements.

  • Collaborate as peer with leaders of IT, Software Engineering, Software QA, Product Management, and other senior management to ensure our security program is effectively implemented, reviewed, and maintained.
  • Monthly reporting on our security program, material risks, etc. to executive management.
  • Serve as primary liaison with key vendors, business partners, customers, and prospects on information security matters including managing responses to evolving security threats and compliance requirements.
  • Mange team that identifies and remediates security vulnerabilities eliminating them with strategic solutions that increase data security
