(CCI) is proud to be one of the largest Electronic Health Record (EHR) installed bases in the world, providing quality healthcare in seven countries and three continents.Job Summary CliniComp, Intl. is looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer with excellent troubleshooting skills to join a growing team in our Systems Support department. The mission of this group is to provide exceptional 24/7 operational support of our electronic health records software platform and to manage all inbound support requests to the team while working with internal and external teams to drive issues to resolution within defined Service Level Agreements (SLA’s). This role will develop and execute systems administration solutions to ensure that our healthcare software product is delivered exceptionally to our customers. Our ideal candidate will have robust technical skills for server/application support, some experience with web application development, and demonstrated success in partnering with in-house Engineering teams to respond rapidly to system maintenance needs.Role Responsibilities Investigate, troubleshoot, and triage complex production software/application/service issues. Identify and escalate issues or root causes of systemic issues; lead, facilitate and participate in prompt resolution. Interface with internal & external stakeholders to provide application support. Work with peers to assign, prioritize and complete daily tasks and production issues. Identify and resolve issues related to network congestion, server performance, and disk management. Install and configure servers, hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with corporate standards, policies, and project/operational requirements. Track vulnerabilities, install and maintain security patches on the operational and development system, which includes but is not limited to, Red Hat Linux, Apache web services, Apache Tomcat, MySQL, and Red Hat KVM. Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Maintain regular file system and operations. Management and support of users’ applications, access, and systems. Contribute to, develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures. Contribute to, develop and maintain web based applications. Work with development teams to help engineer scalable, reliable, and resilient distributed software. Research and recommend innovative, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage resources. Participate in an on-call 24/7 customer service rotation. Identifies the need for and Initiates projects as needed. Experience with Big Data technologies, distributed file systems and cluster technologies (e.g. Hadoop and ZooKeeper). Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g. Elasticsearch, Cassandra and HBase). Experience with distributed applications including Spark. Extensive experience with RHEL system / OS tuning for performance and load analysis. Experience with Linux servers, web servers, monitoring applications, SIEM tools, and configuration management. Strong LAMP Development and management skills including database knowledge (sqlite & mysql). Experience with Linux servers, web servers, monitoring applications, SIEM tools, and configuration management. Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PHP, or Shell Scripting. Proficiency with SQL databases. In-depth experience with Linux core fundamentals, command-line operations, scripting, and service monitoring. Familiar with daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Flexibility and adaptability to partner well and collaborate with various teams across the organization. Self-motivated, strong time management skills, and work efficiently without close supervision. Demonstrated success with switching gears rapidly to produce results that are immediately operational. Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent planning, organizing, and project management skills. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment. Low to moderate noise level. Occasionally hours may be long, early, late or include the weekend. Overtime may be necessary to meet deadlines or to address any critical problems. Work as part of the on-call rotation 24/7Physical Demands Ability to sit for long periods of time; manual dexterity to operate equipment; vision requirements include ability to adjust focus, depth perception, peripheral vision, distance vision and close vision; ability to hear, speak, read, answer the telephone, reach, bend, stand, walk and stoop. Ability to lift 30 lbs. Occasionally hours may be long, early, late or include the weekend.Travel Travel less than 5% of the time. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.RequirementsQualificationsRequired Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field. An additional 2 years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 10 or more years of Linux systems administration (Red Hat, CentOS or Ubuntu) and/or software development experience. Familiarity with networking as well as configuring and supporting Red Hat KVM. Excellent background in customer service using calm, customer-oriented communication. Strong experience in complex systems analysis applied to proactive planning and rapid response emphasizing site stability and performance. U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD ADP clearance and a VA High Risk Background clearance. Experience in 24/7 production operations. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite - Excel, Word, Outlook. PreferredCertifications RHCSA, Network+, Security+Security Clearance U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Department of Defense ADP and VA High Risk Background clearance.The start of the security clearance process is up to the discretion of the company and may begin no later than the successful completion of the first 90 days of employment, and commensurate with job requirements and the needs of the business.
