Job description

Job purposeAVR is a software company offering software solutions and services to our clients. We have an immediate opportunity for a Systems Administrator in our IT Department. The ideal candidate will install and setup networks within the company, support the company’s computer systems, and assist our external clients. Duties and responsibilities·        Assist the NOC Manager with our monitoring systems·        Document policies and procedures related to the network and its intricate details·        Maintain standards of individual machines, such as drivers and settings of company desktop & laptop computers, printers and other peripherals ·        Support external clients·        Maintain network file servers internally and on our cloud based systems·        Protect all systems associated with the AVR networks·        Manage the network tools used at AVR·        Assist the Director of IT with a Disaster Recovery Program·        Occasional weekend hours required·        Work as part of a support team on an out of hour’s rotation basis and rotation for monthly maintenance·        Document daily workSkills & Qualifications·        Minimum: 3 years’ experience in a Systems Administrator role·        Minimum: Associate degree in Information Technology or related field·        Strong team player·        Experience supporting, implementing, and configuring Windows Active Directory·        Strong Linux skills·        Strong written and verbal skills·        Strong knowledge of network equipment ·        Working knowledge of server operating systems (Windows 2012/2016/2019 server, including virtual servers & VMware)·        Working knowledge of Linux Bash and PowerShell Scripting·        Experience with Android and iPhone systems·        Working knowledge of PC operating systems (Windows 7, 8, 10, and Mac OS)·        Familiarity with Azure and AWS Infrastructure·        Strong knowledge of firewall servers and basic rule setting programming·        Prior experience analyzing and resolving WAN/LAN network problems ·        Strong self-starter Physical Demands·        Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
