Job Summary

We are a world class innovation center located in Monrovia, CA with an immediate opening for a Software Developer for our spinoff Covisus Inc. (http://www.covisus.com). For the past 11 years, ChromoLogic has grown organically and built a unique model for developing disruptively innovative solutions in Medical and Aerospace Markets. Covisus was launched to address a growing need in novel supply chain solutions and is based on a revolutionary technology developed by ChromoLogic, known as vTag®.  The successful candidate will join a team of engineers and scientists to develop the vTag® machine vision algorithms into commercial devices to meet a large commercial need. This technology is currently being deployed at Fortune 100 companies as well as Governmental Organizations in order to meet regulatory demands by the FDA and DOD, as well as broader consumer protection initiatives to protect society from counterfeits. The ideal candidate will have experience building data-driven backend applications in Python, SQL databases, and related technologies.

Job Duties

  • Join the Software Development team for our rapidly growing vTag® product line
  • Develop, test and maintain a wide range of software applications
  • Design and document software interfaces and architecture
  • Deliver delightful user experiences to our customers
  • Work closely with QA to ensure high-quality software releases
  • Understand how to prioritize tasks based on a product roadmap and drive execution


  • 1-4 years of professional software development experience
  • Fluency in Python, preferably in professional use
  • Proficiency in database design and architecture, especially in PostgreSQL
  • Experience writing automated software tests highly desired
  • Image processing or computer vision experience preferred
  • Proficiency in C or C++ preferred
  • Well versed in software development and documentation best practices
  • Strong technical communication skills, written and verbal
  • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident due to government contract requirements
