WE Are…

Searching for an entry-level to mid-level Software Developer to join our Visual Analytics Department at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University. This position will be located on a government facility in Key West, Florida, and is an exciting opportunity for those who like the island life! Because you will need to have an active security clearance to begin the assignment in Key West, preference is given to those who already possess a TS/SCI clearance. However, for the right person, the possibility exists to begin this position in State College, PA, pending clearance access.

What YOU Will Do…

You will provide software development and integration on different hardware platforms from concept to execution, provide operation and maintenance of systems, and report on progress, while providing collaboration with other ARL employees and sponsors.

What YOU Need to be Successful…

Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Science and Technology or a related field

Preferred experience areas:

• SCI systems

• Java programming

Required experience/skills:

• Prior experience developing and integrating software applications on different hardware platforms

You will be subject to a government security investigation, and you must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the ARL will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen. This is a one-year, fixed-term renewable appointment.
