Job description

Primary Responsibility:

Assist the Director of Information Security in maintaining a comprehensive, active and effective information security foundation for the services that the Information Technology provides to our internal and external Americold customers. This involves auditing, monitoring, designing, implementing, and administering of technical controls, policies, and procedures to prevent, detect, and control security incidents.     

Essential Functions:

-Assist in defining, implementation and maintenance of information security standards, policies and procedures.

-Work in tandem with the Infrastructure Team to deploy strategic security projects from end-to-end

-Work closely with business units to identify security requirements, using methods that include risk and business impact assessments 

-Assist in the development and implementation of measurable security metrics for projects and operations

-Communicate technology risk to business leaders in non-technical terms to ensure understanding of risk and available options for remediation

-Identify emerging internal and external threats, risks and vulnerabilities that could jeopardize the security of Americold IT systems, to include but not limited too

-Develop and review secure O/S builds for all computing platforms

-Implement systems and controls to prevent unauthorized access

-Global design and deployment of the IT security infrastructure, including management and analysis of security tools

-Implement protection strategies and controls

-Assist in the preparation and implementation of enterprise security awareness training plans

-Assist in forensic analysis, cyber-crime investigation, emergency incident response and investigations related to information security

-Develop close, effective working relationships with mid and senior level management throughout the company to obtain support and implementation of security policies and practices

-Translate regulatory requirements and standards to IT policies, controls and processes.

-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

-Four-year degree in Information Technology with an information security emphasis - preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

-CISSP, CISA, Security + or equivalent certification desired.

-7+ years of information technology experience with 3-5 years of technical security experience

-Experience implementing and managing Multi-factor authentication, SSO, and cloud security

-Proven experience, clarity and courage to drive an agenda with the ability to influence without direct authority.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

-General knowledge of information technology and related security issues. 

-Ability to demonstrate a general knowledge of information security concepts (malware, virus, threats, confidentiality).

-Knowledge of technical aspects of information security with in understanding of firewalls, IDS, HIDS, Content Filtering, Network hardening, Packet Inspection, and SIEM tools.

-Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, associated network protocols and concepts.

Physical Requirements:

-Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions

-Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bending

-Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work

-Talking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned tasks

-May require travel by automobile and airplane up for business

-May require a visit facility operations in temperatures at or below freezing

-May carry loads related to travel and occasionally lifts, carries, positions, or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds

-Requires the use of various electronic tools

-Requires the ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions: must partner with colleagues without exhibiting behavioral extremes

-Requires the performance of work activities including reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from executive management
