Job description

Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. is the largest law firm serving the Southwest with 450 lawyers throughout ten offices. The Firm is currently looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to be part of a team that manages the technical and operational aspects of the Firm’s server infrastructure including provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. Expertise in Microsoft Servers and related technologies is necessary. 


  • Provide our Attorneys and Support Staff with expert-level service delivery
  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including 2012 and 2016
  • Proactively insure that systems are monitored and highly available
  • Resolve escalated issues from the Help Desk and Remote Office support
  • Monitor and Maintain backups and perform Disaster Recovery testing
  • Keep updated documentation of systems and infrastructure
  • Follow change management procedures
  • Provide on-call support as needed
  • Interact with IT personnel on all levels to resolve issues and provide solutions in a timely manner
  • Capable of prioritizing and managing assignments and tasks to completion with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a detail-oriented approach while multitasking in a fast-paced environment



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience.


  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Windows Server technologies
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience years with an Active Directory environment
  • Experience using Hyper-V or VMware vSphere
  • SQL Server Experience, managing the servers and back-end components
  • Experience with Windows scripting technologies such as PowerShell
  • Experience with Microsoft System Center components
  • Experience with Cisco UCS Servers and UCS Manager
  • Experience with professional services accounting systems a plus
  • System Administrator experience at a law firm is a plus


  • Microsoft Certifications MCSE/MCSA (Preferred)
