Project Description:
Work for one of the leading US quantitative hedge funds which develops and deploys systematic financial strategies across a variety of asset classes and global markets. The fund seeks to produce high-quality trading signals (Alphas) through their proprietary research platform and to utilize those signals in trading strategies focused on exploiting market inefficiencies.
Responsibilities:
As an Engineer within the Application Security team, you will build, deploy and operate critical infrastructure, libraries and services providing basic security infrastructure needed to enable our developers to build applications in a secure manner.
• Monitoring and supporting security infrastructure; investigating and troubleshooting issues;
• Operating, developing and integrating critical automated security infrastructure (Authentication, Authorization, Secrets Management, CA, etc);
• Provide 'consulting' to other teams needing assistance with security components;
• Assembling platforms and frameworks to automate security management with a goal to ensure the secure choice is the easiest choice;
• Other projects as needed to support analysis and remediation in our code bases;
• Act as a SME to our development community, assisting in answering security and technology related risk questions
Mandatory Skills:
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps, technical operations or software development, great interpersonal skills and familiarity with systems administration and/or integration.
In addition, the candidate will have:
• Experience working in Linux and at least one programming language;
• Excellent analytical skills and a passion for solving problems;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; Fluency in the English language;
• Be detail oriented and capable of multitasking and delivering in fast-paced work environment;
• Candidates need to have prior experience in financial services;
• Experience at least with one of: OpenIDConnect, Kerberos, PKI, Vault, Openssl and Java Jaas
• A solid understanding of security principles and how to creatively apply and ensure their integration
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with Java, Python, C++ development
