  • Can keep an open mind to new ideas

  • Really want to learn new things

What you can expect to be doing:

  • You will provide physical database support for SQL Server databases, ensuring the integrity and availability of the database.
  • You are responsible for monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning at both the system and application levels.
  • As part of the Database Administration team, you will work on a team that utilizes high availability solutions to support Vail’s SIP phone platform hosting systems.
  • You will help to ensure that all solutions of application and business issues are secure, compliant, and adhere to the minimum-security baselines set forth by Vail Systems.
  • You will be using your T-SQL skills to create a data-access layer capsules business logic for best performance.
  • You will participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation.

To be considered for this position you must have:

  • Ideally, we would like someone with 3+ years of experience or exceptional new graduates.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • T-SQL skills that enable you to query big data efficiently, and the ability and desire to learn new T-SQL that comes with each new version of SQL server.
  • Understanding database replication, backup, redundancy and disaster recovery.

What we are offering:

  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Pre-taxed medical and commuter benefits
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Health club membership
