In the role you will work in a collaborative team of software engineering professionals. As a Site Reliability Engineer you will be part of a horizontal function that is responsible to ensure that the practices, processes and tools are in place to ensure stability and functionality of each application in production. This team will ensure the highest level of quality and success in support of technical issues, DR testing, and hardware/software updates

 This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines

Understanding of architecture and design across all systems  

Working proficiency in developmental toolsets 

Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices 

Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture 

Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages <Recruiter to list specific language requirements for the posting

Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement 

3 years of design and development experience in Python, Java/J2EE.

  • 3 years of experience with relational databases – SQL Server or Oracle
  • Experience on Big Data technology Hive, Impala, Spark, Cluster Computing
  • Strong hold on Unix and good with Shell Scripting
  • Excellent knowledge of Apache, Tomcat
  • Excellent knowledge of Spring framework
  • Solid understanding of Object Oriented Design methodologies
  • Strong understanding of database concepts and experience with a relational database
