Job description

Propulsion System Engineer, Pontiac, MI, General Motors. Engr &perform sys engrg &anlys to define reqmts, test, validate & execute HEV, BEV, &fuel cell propulsion sys &cmpnts for conventional &auton. psgr vehicles for U.S., China &global markets. Define powertrain reqmts, incldg overall hybrid, electric, fuel cell propulsion sys performance, high voltage sys, high voltage battery pack, electric motor, high voltage power electronics, engine, transaxle & transmission using DOORS. Conduct high voltage propulsion sys level testing on test bench &in vehicle incldg active isolation detection, Direct Current Fast Charging, pwr efficiency measurement &battery sensing circuit accuracy measrmt. Collect &analyze propulsion sys parameters incldg electric drive unit/RESS / Vehicle Integration Controller Module / alternating &direct current charging / & integrated power electronics parameters, using Simulink, DOORS, Vector CANalyzer, INCA, MDA, VehicleSpy tools, &neoVI FIRE HW. Master, Mechanical, Automotive, or Electrical Engrg. 12 mos exp as Engineer, performing vehicle, subsys, or component engrg &anlysis to define reqrmnts, test, & validate HEV or BEV powertrain system for conventional &auton. passenger vehicles for U.S., China and global markets, or related.
