Job description

At the end of 2020, Technical University of Denmark (DTU) will take over the daily operations of the JET data center for EUROfusion.

The Research IT section at DTU seeks to recruit two highly skilled and dedicated data center specialists to our team of experts.

During 2020, DTU and EUROfusion will work closely together to prepare the transfer of the data center from Culham in the UK to DTU campus Risø.

In the Research IT section at DTU, we develop solutions that support research activities both in- and outside DTU. We also operate High Performance Computing facilities and science cloud solutions.

What we are looking for

  • Engineering degree in Computer Science, Data Technician or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in system operations. Hardware/software maintenance and support
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (in English)
  • Experience in the research area would be highly regarded
  • Experience in user support

Training is planned to take place in Culham, UK medio 2020.


  • Linux administration
  • Windows administration
  • Strong hardware/software & networking troubleshooting skills
  • Authentication and identity management
  • Incident and change management (ITIL certification would be highly regarded)
  • Skills in Solaris administration will be highly regarded

Salary and appointment terms
Salary and appointment terms are in accordance with the LC/CO10-collective agreement and the organizational agreement for IT employees (PROSA) in the service of the state or the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
